The Descendants of Swiss Settlers was featured in The Weekly Genealogist, which is a newsletter published by American Ancestors, also known as the New England Historic Genealogical Society!
One component of the newsletter is a survey. Last week, lineage societies were the subject of the survey and DSS was featured in this week's newsletter including a link to our website.

The Descendants of Swiss Settlers was featured in the Schmucker Family Association's newsletter!
DSS Governor and Founder Joseph Smith found the Baptism record of noted Anabaptist leader and Swiss settler, Christian Schmucker in the Grindelwald parish register. The son of Jacob Schmucker and Verena Hassler, Christian was Baptised on 4 February 1720 at Grindelwald in the Canton of Bern.
The record can be accessed on page 45 in the parish register.
